Sentence: The tiger is a cognate animal to the cat.


Derivative
(n)
something obtained from a certain source, results from something else.
related words (root): derivation, derive, derivable
To find the answer you have to take the derivative of a number in the equation.

Inflection:
(n)
bending or curving, a change in volume or intensity of something
related words (meaning): change, bend, curve
The inflection in the man's voice was astounding.

Orthography
(n)
language study that deals with correct letters and spelling
related words (root): biography, geography, astronomy
The orthography professor was a great teacher.

Diminutive
(adj)
small in physical appearance
related words (meaning): tiny, small, petite
Sentence: COntrary to his appearance the diminutive soldier was a powerful leader.
