e. Sentence: Since I'm not 18 yet, I need a cognate to sign for me.
2. Derivative
a. Discribe: Its not your original idea, its your second one.
b. Part of speech: Derivative is an adjective.
c. Three similar words to Derivative are, not-original, obtained and second-hand.
d.
e. The football team had to use their derivative play because the first one didn't work.
3. Diminutive
a. A diminutive is something that is small, or tiny version of something larger.
b. Diminutive is an adjective.
c. Three similar words are mini, small and teensy-weensy.
d.
e. My doll house is a diminutive of my house.
4. Inflection
a. Is when you change the pitch or tone in your voice.
b.Inflection is a noun.
c. Three similar words to inflection are change, sound and variation.

e. When my teacher is mad there is an inflection in her voice.
5. Orthography
a. This means to write words the correct way.
b. It is a plural noun.
c. Three similar words to orthography are symbols, alphabet and language.

e. The cavemen used orthography to comunicate.

a. Discription: is a pattern or a sample of something.
b. Part of speech: Paradigm is a noun.
c. Three similar words to paradigm are model, sample and standard.

7. Philology
a. Discription: Is the study of original written text or words.
b. Part of speech: Philology is a noun.
c. Three similar words to philology are studying, rereading and understanding.

e. In college I took a Philology course on an Egyption religion.
8. Phonology
a. Discription: Is the study of speech sounds in a language.
b. Part of speech: Phonology is a noun
c. Three similar words to phonology are talking, symbols and sounds.

e. I am going to college to take a phonology course, and then help children whit speech problems.
9. Rhetoric
a. Using your language to persue or pursaude people.
b. Part of speech: Rhetoric is a noun.
c. Three similar words to rhetoric are tall talk, big speech and rant.

e. The people at the town meeting were giving rhetoric speeches to make sure the store does not get put in.
10. Syntax
a. Discription: Is the grammatical arrangment of words.
b. Part of speech: Syntax is a noun.
c. Three similar words to syntax are ABC's, alphabet and pattern.
d.
e. When the kids were singing thier ABC's, they didnt know they were singing a syntax.

"Rhetoric" is a noun. You use it as an adjective.
